Why This Exists

This literacy mission was established alongside the publication of Dear Shah Rukh Khan. For every copy of the memoir sold worldwide, one storybook is donated to a child in Sri Lanka. The mission operates through three interconnected pillars — all dedicated to the belief that every child deserves to grow up with stories.
Dream Libraries
We establish small reading corners and storybook collections in under-resourced primary schools across Sri Lanka, giving children a space to discover the power of stories.
Literacy Workshops
Interactive storytelling workshops led by local educators help children develop reading confidence and imaginative thinking through structured, fun activities.
School Supplies
Notebooks, pencils, and art materials are bundled with each storybook donation, ensuring every child has the tools to put their own stories on paper.
