About the Author
Hansani Hidellaarachchi
Hansani Hidellaarachchi is a Sri Lankan-born editor, entrepreneur, and digital strategist based in the Netherlands. Over the past two decades she has built a career at the intersection of storytelling, communications, and social impact.
She began writing letters to Shah Rukh Khan in 1996 at the age of nine, inspired by his films' recurring message that dreams are worth pursuing no matter the distance. Over thirty years, those letters became a diary of her own transformation — from a child in Colombo to an entrepreneur in Europe.
Dear Shah Rukh Khan is her debut memoir. One hundred letters, one global book launch, and one fund dedicated to children's literacy in Sri Lanka — proof that even a letter written to a film star can change the world.
